Blur are an English rock band formed in Colchester in 1989. The band are comprised of vocalist/keyboardist Damon Albarn, guitarist/vocalist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree. The group became one of the biggest bands in the UK during the Britpop movement of the mid-1990s.

By the late 1990s, with the release of their fifth album, Blur, the band underwent another reinvention, influenced by the indie rock and lo-fi style of American bands such as Pavement and R.E.M., in the process gaining an elusive American success with the single “Song 2″. The final album featuring the band’s original lineup, 13, found Blur experimenting with electronica and gospel music.

In 2002, founding member Graham Coxon left the band early in recording sessions for Think Tank, the band’s seventh and latest album. Blur continued in his absence, seeing both the album and a tour through. After the end of their 2003 tour, the band were unofficially on hiatus, as bandmembers were working on solo projects. In May 2007, it was announced that Blur will be returning to the studio with Graham Coxon, to attempt recording once more. Alex James recently announced that the band would likely be starting a new album in October.

Radiohead are an English rock band that formed in Oxfordshire in 1986. The band’s lineup, which has remained the same since its inception, consists of Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway.

Radiohead released their first single, “Creep”, in 1992, followed by their debut album Pablo Honey (1993). Although initially unsuccessful, the song became a worldwide hit by the time it was re-issued a year later. The band’s popularity increased in the United Kingdom with their second album, The Bends (1995), which featured dense guitar atmospheres and Yorke’s falsetto singing. However, Radiohead’s third album propelled them to greater attention. Featuring an expansive sound and themes of modern alienation, OK Computer (1997) was warmly received by critics, and has often been named a landmark record of the 1990s.

The band’s next recordings, Kid A (2000) and Amnesiac (2001), saw Radiohead reach their peak of global popularity even as their music divided fans and critics. The period marked a change in the band’s style, with influences including experimental electronic music as well as Krautrock, jazz and modern classical music. Radiohead’s shift away from standard rock songwriting also resulted in greater flexibility, with each member playing a wider range of instruments in the studio and at live concerts. The band’s latest album, Hail to the Thief (2003), mixed guitar-driven rock, electronic influences and topical lyrics, and was seen to blend styles from throughout the band’s career. Radiohead are currently without a record label, and have recently completed their seventh studio album, expected for release sometime in 2008.

Venice (Venetian: Venezsia, friulian: Vignesie, Latin: Venetia,italian: Venezia) is a city in northern Italy, the capital of region Veneto, and has a population of 271,251 (census estimate January 1, 2004). Together with Padua, the city is included in the Padua-Venice Metropolitan Area (population 1,600,000). Venice’s nicknames include “Queen of the Adriatic”, “City of Water”, “City of Bridges”, and “The City of Light”.
The city stretches across numerous small islands in the marshy Venetian Lagoon along the Adriatic Sea in northeast Italy. The saltwater lagoon stretches along the shoreline between the mouths of the Po (south) and the Piave (north) Rivers. The population estimate of 272,000 inhabitants includes the population of the whole Comune of Venezia; around 62,000 in the historic city of
Venice (Centro storico); 176,000 in Terraferma (literally firm land, the areas outside the lagoon), mostly in the large frazione of Mestre and Marghera; and 31,000 live on other islands in the lagoon.
The Venetian Republic was a major sea power and a staging area for the Crusades, as well as a very important center of commerce (especially the spice trade) and art in the Renaissance. Ironically, though, the city-state lost much of its power and importance due to the decline and fall of the Byzantine Empire, which Venice helped to destroy. This was because Turkish control of the Eastern Mediterranean gave the European maritime powers an incentive to find trade routes elsewhere.
Venice is world-famous for its canals. It is built on an archipelago of 122 islands formed by about 150 canals in a shallow lagoon. The islands on which the city is built are connected by about 400 bridges. In the old center, the canals serve the function of roads, and every form of transport is on water or on foot. In the 19th century a causeway to the mainland brought a railway station to Venice, and an automobile causeway and parking lot was added in the 20th century. Beyond these land entrances at the northern edge of the city, transportation within the city remains, as it was in centuries past, entirely on water or on foot. Venice is Europe’s largest urban carfree area, unique in Europe in remaining a sizable functioning city in the 21st century entirely without motorcars or trucks.

Energetic and extraordinary…this we can say about Pink. She began performing in Philadelphia clubs when she was fourteen years old with a good friend Jessica Hanslow. At age sixteen, she joined the RB Atlanta-based trio Choice, which included Chrissy Conway of the Christian girl group ZOEgirl. The group signed with LaFace Records and contributed “Key to My Heart” to the soundtrack of the 1996 film Kazaam. Choice eventually disbanded after recording an unreleased album; Moore remained at LaFace as a solo act under the stage name Pink. Daryl Simmons took her to recordings where she sang backing vocals for artists such as Diana Ross, 98 Degrees. Pink’s debut single, the dance track “Gonna Make Ya Move (Don’t Stop)”, was released in the UK in 1998 by Activ Records and appeared on the UK top 200. One of the most successful song in her career was a single for the Moulin Rouge recorded by singers Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and
Pink as a film soundtrack. Their version was a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. for five weeks, from May 26 to June 30, 2001. The Moulin Rouge! Version of “Lady Marmalade” was also a number-one hit in the United Kingdom and Australia, introducing the song to a whole new generation of music listeners, and brought the song’s infamous catchphrase back into mainstream culture.

In 1990, Jon composed the music for the Young Guns II soundtrack (in which he also had a cameo), which included “Blaze of Glory,” his first No. 1 solo hit.
In June 2007, Bon Jovi released their new tenth studio album, Lost Highway. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard charts, the first time that Bon Jovi has had a number one album on the US charts since the release of New Jersey in 1988. Thanks to the band’s new country music fan base, the album sold 292,000 copies in its first week on sale in the U.S., and became Bon Jovi’s third US number one album.

Recently I have casually got on the internet gallery of Russian Artist Ruslan Migranov, and have been pleasantly surprised seen.
Its paintings in the best traditions of Russian fine arts of 19 centuries involuntarily rivet on itself attention.
Landscapes are alive, juicy, full of sense and internal musical harmony.
In simple motives the artist manages to transfer modest and imperceptible beauty of Russian nature of an average strip.
