Singer Jon Thor Birgisson has previously sung in his native Icelandic or Hopelandic, their own made up language, making his lyrics incomprehensible to Brits. The new album was recorded in separate sessions in Iceland, London, New York and Cuba. It has been revealed that at least one song features more than 90 musicians on it.
